The 52nd annual Grammy Awards air tonight and once again the "Idol" community will be well represented.

Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson, along with Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson and Usher, will be performing a Michael Jackson tribute.

Ryan Seacrest will be covering the red carpet LIVE for E! News starting at 6pm ET and Adam Lambert will be covering fashion for Entertainment Tonight (will be taped.)

Additionally, several "Idols" have nominations and even more will be attending as guests. The action officially gets underway at 8pm ET on CBS.

Also, Mr. "Pants On The Ground," General Larry Platt, will  perform live on the red carpet tonight. Check out some new backstage video from behind the scenes at the red carpet!

Update 1: Carrie Underwood has won a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration ("I Told You So" with Randy Travis)! However, Taylor Swift has won the Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance!

Update 2: Mandisa's Freedom album lost Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album to The Power Of One by Israel Houghton....Also, Ain't Misbehavin' with Ruben Studdard and Trenyce lost to West Side Story in Best Musical Show Album.
