In this evening's exclusive AI Now interview, "American Idol" finalist Megan Joy revealed, for the first time, many of the details about her upcoming debut album.

First, Megan announced that she has already written and recorded over a dozen songs, all of which she had a hand in writing, for her debut CD. "I have almost fourteen completed songs now. I am super excited about them. Now that the holidays are over, I [will] go back to work in a week and it's time to prepare for label shopping."

When pressed for the specifics about her release plans, Megan did report that she has talked with both major and independent labels. And, she said that it looks very promising for her to be signed in the next three to four months. "I cant go into detail, but a couple labels are interested. I start rehearsals to wow them live and I'll of course keep writing and recording too. But, if all goes well I will be signed by spring-early summer! Then it's finish the album, drop it, and tour," Megan said.

But, recording an album is just one part of the dream for Megan. She announced that she will also be on tour in 2010. "As soon as I'm signed, which I would guess will be in the next three to four months, I'll get the album ready and tour pretty fast. The album wont take too long to complete and getting signed is a pretty much for sure."

Joy unveiled an impressive list of collaborators, including John Feldman, Kevin Griffin, Dave Lichens and Benji Madden. " Ive been surrounded by genius....[I'm] too lucky," she said.

Also, Megan answered questions about what type of record she plans on putting out. Joy explained, "Well I think my music will appeal to people of all ages. Its pretty different and has an old school feel with a new twist. I absolutely love relationships so most of my songs are just about people I love and have loved." She continued, "I want to be a role model that helps with confidence, drive, motivation, strength. I just want to touch and help people with my jams."

Megan fielded dozens of fan questions including inquiries about her relationship with fellow "Idol" finalist Anoop Desai. "It all started one night...me, him [Anoop,] and Matt were hanging in a hotel bar. Matt decided to crash and right after he left a huge wedding party came in that knew who we were. They went crazy and thought we were 'together.' After that it just became a huge joke. Anoop hated it at first and would deny [it,] but I loved to roll with it. Eventually he gave in too." She added,"I love Anoop, but we never officially dated or anything. I may or may not have kissed him though (sshhhh) ... he will kill me for this hahaha."

Megan also revealed that her official website is being built as we speak and that she will be blogging about season nine of "American Idol" for OK! Magazine in the coming weeks.
