FOX Chicago "American Idol" season 9 hollywood contestant, Angela Martin, has several things to worry about right now. First of all, she seems to be the face of the new "Idol" season, appearing in multiple season nine promos. FOX Chicago confirms that Martin has made it to the Hollywood round, which is believed to start early next month. However, Martin also has a more pressing issue to deal with. According to reports, Martin's mother has gone missing. Martin says Viola Brown Martin has been missing for five days. Viola spent Christmas day with Angela, but was never seen again after Viola embarked on a twenty-minute trip to visit her other daughter on Saturday. Today, FOX Chicago reports police found Viola's vehicle, but it was nowhere near Viola's intended destination. Viola's boyfriend was the last person to see her. MJ's Big Blog reports this is Angela's third try on "Idol." In 2007, she auditioned in Philadelphia (video,) but ended up being being eliminated in the second round. Angela came back in 2008 and made it to the top 50 (video.) Sadly, her father was murdered prior to one of her auditions. And, Angela's child is also struggling with a rare childhood disease called Rhett’s Syndrome. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Martin family. UPDATE: Added local news video after the break! Related Posts
