The rumors have finally been confirmed! Simon Cowell is indeed hoping and planning to bring “The X Factor” to the United States!

Simon is on the cover of British GQ magazine’s January 2010 issue. And inside the magazine, Cowell's business partner, Philip Green, confirms that the two plan on bringing the show to Las Vegas!

“The plan is to take it to Vegas… We’ll have a permanent place. The home of ‘The X Factor’ — live from Vegas,” Green said, according to Reuters. Green added, "To sing in Vegas? I mean, hell, you get to the final 12 [and tell them] 'Your dream's come true -- you're going to sing in Vegas!'"

Reuters also reported that the plan is to have two episodes of "The X Factor" each week but to broadcast them on web-based pay-per-view.

“It’ll all be online. You have 20, 30, 40 million people tuning in twice a week,” Green said. “You bring two or three hundred million viewers to a venue. It’s turning it up a peg.”

Negotiations are believed to be already underway with a casino in Vegas.

Meanwhile, The New York Post reports that Cowell is currently in talks with FOX and NBC about the possibility of bringing the show to American televisions as well.
