Kris Allen gave E!'s Marc Malkin an update on his planned trip to Haiti. "I'm going to go in March," Kris said. "Simon Fuller asked me, 'You want to go to Haiti?' and I was like, 'Absolutely!' I want to help out in any way I can." Kris also promises that the trip won't turn into just a photo op. PR Newswire: After finishing its successful European tour Monday, Daughtry announces it will perform this Sunday at the NFL's Super Tailgate Party outside Sun Life Stadium before the kick off of Super Bowl XLIV. Singer Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely plan to perform a 45 minute set of music including their current hit single "Life After You" and material from the band's second #1 album Leave This Town. Daughtry's performance will be broadcast on CBS during the network's extensive pregame coverage and is expected to air at approximately 3:45 pm Eastern. Read more. EW: While the blogosphere is atwitter today over a New York Post report that American Idol has tapped radio jock Howard Stern as the leading candidate to replace Simon Cowell on the show’s judging panel in 2011, a source close to the show tells EW that “the search has just begun, nor are there any front-runners at this time.” Furthermore, “nobody’s going to be offered a job [as a permanent Idol judge] for a while,” the source added. “We’re doing a very thorough search.” A call to Stern’s PR rep was not immediately returned.
