![]() CBS A rumor that surfaced two weeks ago has made a comeback in the headlines this morning as word spreads that Carrie Underwood has reportedly been cast for a movie! AINow can now confirm that Carrie will indeed appear in the indie drama, "Soul Surfer." The film will also feature Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt and AnnaSophia Robb. The film is being directed by Sean McNamara and will be Carrie's big screen debut. From the official press release, "Soul Surfer" is said to be an "inspirational film based on the autobiography of 19-year-old champion surfer Bethany Hamilton, who, for over six years, has defied all odds to compete and win professional championships after losing her arm in a shark attack at age thirteen. Underwood will play Sarah Hill, a church youth leader. Filming is to take place in February." But, you won't have to wait for the movie to see Carrie's acting skills. She will guest star on the March 1st episode of How I Met Your Mother on CBS. |
