TMZ is reporting that Ryan Seacrest's alleged stalker, Chidi Uzomah, was arrested today inside the E! building where Ryan works. A source inside the building says that Uzomah was detained by the police in the lobby of the E! building at 9:40am PT.

Reports say Uzomah walked into the lobby and asked to talk with Seacrest. When a guard recognized the suspect as Uzomah, he called police. TMZ reports Uzomah had a knife on him at the time of the arrest.

This is the same man who assaulted Ryan's security guard last month while trying to get in a car with Ryan outside of an O.C. hospital.

TMZ has video of the suspect being taken into a police car:

In last month's case Uzomah, who is 6'4" - 200 lbs, was placed on three years probation and was ordered to stay away from Seacrest. Sources say Ryan was in the building at the time of the incident. Earlier this month Uzomah allegedly showed up at the KIIS studios looking for Ryan there as well.

TMZ says Uzomah is currently being held in jail on felony stalking!

UPDATE: The Insider reports Ryan has been granted a temporary restraining order. Uzomah Jr., 25, must stay at least 100 yards away from his home, his work and his vehicle. Seacrest says he doesn't know Uzomah and has “no desire to have any contact with him.”

A hearing has been scheduled for November 17.

UPDATE #2: E! News -- Lt. Colonel Nathan Banks has issued a statement on behalf of the Army regarding Uzomah: "It is disappointing to have a soldier act in that form or fashion, however, we will allow the local police to do their initial investigation, and we will chime in afterwards." According to Sgt. Brian Williams, Uzomah not only has an extensive military background but the poor performance record to match. Sgt. Williams also added that while Uzomah is innocent until proven guilty, "He could possibly be honorably discharged or bad conduct discharged, but it's too early to state because we first have to let the due process happen. We will wait and be patient and not rush to judgment yet."
